INSTRUCTIONS
WEEK 2
Audio Editing Exercise
In this project, We asked to find the suitable sound track and voice into the movie clip. The movie clip had be provided by Mr. Martin from google classroom. We have to found the sound effects thought free sound. From free sound, i found out the walking, door sliding and train sound.

WEEK 5
EQ Exercise
We requested to do a task about audition EQ exercise that given by Mr. Martin. The sound footage was provided in the google classroom. We have to identify the differences of each audio and adjust it to the original sound.

WEEK 9
Sound Shaping Exercise
Students are required to "shape" the voice according to the following conditions:
1) The phone voice
2) The voice from a closet
3) The voice from the big stadium
4) The voice of toilet or bathroom
5) The voice from underground cave
Prior to this, Mr. Martin had taught us the basic operation knowledge of using EQ for sound shaping. We blend and adjust different sound sources according to the various effects we have learned.
1) The phone voice
The sound comes from the phone, there will be a little electronic sound, and the sound will not be completely clean. I adjusted the bass and treble to suit the sound of modern mobile phones.

2) The voice from a closet
According to the muffled sound effect taught by Mr. Martin, I adjusted a sound like being locked in a closet and talking.

3) The voice from big stadium
We use the reverb effect to adjust the time extension or distance in the sound to produce an echo effect. In addition, I chose a medium concert hall (crisp) effect to be closer to the subject.

4) The voice from toilet or bathroom
To enhance the echo in a relatively small space in the toilet, I used the effect of "in the shower".

5) The voice from underground cave
The sound of a cave in a large space has many echoes. I use an effect called football referee to enhance its echo effect, it sounds like it’s in a cave.

WEEK 14
Sound Design
There are 4 important sound design techniques, which are:
After I listen the MCD ad, I was think about the sound of the ad was created from multi-layer with voice of smashing a frozen plastic or some ball rolling in a container. Exp:
Students will combine the sound design techniques that proposed above to create the following sound, which are: explosion, punch and monster sound.
1. Magnification explosion sound

WEEK 2 (01 SEP 2020)
This is the first exercise I have encountered in sound design. I used the voice recorded by the senior. It is a little difficult to find a sound that matches the film. Mr. Martin suggests that students can use the phone to record the sound and use it in the film.
WEEK 5 (22 SEP 2020)
After listening to the audio sample given by Mr. Martin, I make the adjustments with the following on parametric equalizes. After watching the recorded video teaching, I started to study and adjust the audio to get various effects. I think the part of making the echo is the most interesting, because I always think about the echo sound was comes from multi-layer of sound, In fact, it only use the effect of reverb.

WEEK 14
Sound Design
There are 4 important sound design techniques, which are:
- Time sketching: Change the length of sound without altering its pitch.
- Pitch shifting: Adjusting the pitch of audio upward or downward, for both corrective and purely creative purposes.
- Reverse: reverse the whole audio to different feeling and rhythm
- Layering: Arrange separate sound together to a single complete audio

WEEK 14 (24 SEP 2020)
This task seems difficult, but the actual operation is really interesting. In the process of learning, I found that the sound design of movies in real life was originally designed in this way. Using layers of sounds, different effects, and different audios, create a complete sound design. But sound design doesn't stop there, there are a lot of sound effects can be explored, such as flanger.
