Exercise
LECTURER
Due to some reasons about applying for school, I joined the class nearly two weeks late. Fortunately, I can access the files with google classroom and also watched the recorded video for week 1&2 to catch up the content that i missed.
WEEK 1 (25 AUG 2020)
This week I have not yet entered school and this is the first time I have seen Mr. Martin on recorded video. He gave a brief introduction to the students about this subject and what we are going to do this semester. Student will have been tasked about a few of video or audio editing exercise, project 1, project 2 and final project. Then Mr. Martin show some sample of video and ask student to complete the exercise about arranged the segmented fragment with the correct timeline. The purpose of the exercise is to let student understand the basic knowledge on Premier Pro.
WEEK 2 (1 SEP 2020)
Same with last week, I watch the recorded video to catch up progress. This week, student learnt about framing and storyboarding. We have been tasked to do the shoting exercise with 8 different of shot size, which is:
WEEK 3 (8 SEP 2020)This week, Mr. Martin lectured about the film sound design. The mix of sound element create an audio setting that match with movie action and make the movie more interesting. The point of each element is attached to a video explanation or sample so that students can gain a better understanding on each element.

Student also will be using this shot sizes for creating the storyboard on final project in the further.
WEEK 3 (8 SEP 2020)
The sound elements are:
- Speech
- Sound effects
- Music
INSTRUCTIONS
WEEK 1
In the first class, Mr. Martin was talking about the introduction of video and sound production module description. A few of exercises and projects will be given during this semester. The objective of the first exercise is about to learn the basic of Adobe Premier Pro. This exercises required student arrange the cut-off video into a correct story-timeline. Below is the exercise 1 (MInt) and exercise 2 (Doritos):

WEEK 2
This week we learnt about information about earlier cinema and the difference of the shot sizes. The shot size will determine the large or wise of the area of visible frame. We have a video editing exercise and also for audio project, we be given a task about adding sound track into a muted video.

WEEK 3
This week we learnt about film sound. In this lesson, we learnt the difference of sound element like hard or cut effect and ambience. Exercise of this week requested student watch the original video of Lalin, and we edit the video clip following the right sequence.

REFLECTIONS
WEEK 1 (25 AUG 2020)
For some reason, I was unable to register for the school on time, so I lost class in the first and second weeks. Fortunately, I can keep up with the teaching progress through the recorded video. This is the first time I have discovered how convenient it is for students to review the recorded videos.
WEEK 2 (1 SEP 2020)
In fact, this is exercise from the basic knowledge of Premier Pro I learned before. But haven't practiced for a long time , and I still took some time to keep up. Under the upcoming pressure of due date, I finally finished my exercise.
WEEK 3 (8 SEP 2020)
After I understood the difference between the 8 shot sizes, I found it was actually very interesting. In the film, different shot sizes and lens switching can present different a storytelling, making the movie more interesting.
