Week 1 - 05 JAN 2021
Exercise 1: Quantify and visualize data
Students are asked to look for things in the bottle around themselves, and make data analysis on them. Students need to use these data to create an interesting infographic on a piece of A4 paper. I found folded stars, and sort them based on the materials and color.
You can see the arrangement of folded stars are mainly made by different materials, such as paper and luminous, and it is distributed by the color depth.

Later, I tried the second one to analyze the data in a table, and added the number to present the total number.

I showed my progress to Ms. Anis and she suggested me work on the first draft and tried to use something interesting to present the color. Finally, I used the concept of the first picture (Fig 1.1) to draw the infographic. I added an explanation, so that readers can first understand the meaning of this paper. Next, I used different color pens to distribute different the depth of color. I wrote the number of stars in each blank space so that readers can see at a glance.

Exercise 2: L.A.T.C.H
Before I start drawing, I first think about a few topics I want to do, like famous mobile games such as mobile legend, identity v, or plant vs zombie. After thinking about it, I decided to choose plant vs zombie, which is more categorical, as my exercise. According to the principle of LATCH, I assigned location, category, time, and hierarchy to the characters in the game. The following is my sketch and digital sketch:

The digital sketch effectively let me know how the overall result is. After determining that the design layout is feasible, I began to implement the sketch on the digital illustration. In order to make the viewer understand better, I wrote a short paragraph and the name of the character on the painting. The following is the final submission:
