INSTRUCTION
Week 1 - 05/01/2021

This week, Mr. Shamsul introduced the relevant projects to the students, and asked the students to work in groups and think of a topic for "Misinformation and Disinformation". My group is group 3, and my group members are Weng Shan, Tresha, Allyssa and Seerat. After everyone’s discussion and agreement, we decided to Misinformation of Vaccine as our topic. In the next meeting, Weng Shan compiled the topic needed with the right sequence, Seerat rearrange all of the information according to Three-Act-Structure.

This week, students were asked to present about the narrative, and after obtaining the consent of Mr. Shamsul, they could proceed to the next step which is draw the storyboard and mood board. And after we passed Mr. Shamsul’s consent smoothly, we started Discord meeting. In the process, we used a website called Aggie.io to draw the storyboard. Later we discussed the choice of color mood board and drawing style. Finally, Weng Shan was responsible for completing the animatics and Allyssa to add the background music and sound effects.

This week, we started designing animation. I was in charge of character design and animation and started drawing illustrations. After having the animatics made by Weng shan, my drawing went quite smoothly. Allysa is responsible for the sound effects and Tresha is responsible for the animation voice over. Below is the asset that i have done:

This week, we sent the video to Mr Shamsul, and his opinion was about the volume of the voice over were inconsistent and sometimes unclear. In order to avoid a sudden ending, he suggested that we add a thank you slide. After that, we continued to work on it.

This week, we got Mr Shamsul’s opinion about how we should label vaccine, immune system and other icons with identity. In this way, the audience can more quickly understand what the film expresses. The background music has also been voiced loudly in some parts, Mr Shamsul hopes that we will continue to improve.

After finishing drawing, I use Ae to make them into animation. Although animatics is used as a reference, it took a lot of time to adjust the details. Below is the first animation with act 1 and 2 only:

Week 7 - 16/02/2021

This week, we sent the animation to Mr Shamsul again, and this time he gave the advice that we should change the design of the dialog box and design characters instead of line people. In addition, the background music needs to be changed. Finally, we are finally done. The following is the final result:
