WEEK 11-09/06/2021

According to my story, I decided to use the following five shots as the animation of this Final project.

1. Two sisters watch Cinderella movie in the living room. Then, the older sister and younger sister played roles, using indoor slipper as glass shoes.

2. Two sister play role as Cinderella at bedroom in midnight. Elder sister, Ling use pen as magic wand and transform younger sister, Ting's blanket to beautiful dress.

3. The bedroom changed to castle dancing floor. Ling take up a pillow play with Ting.

4.  The shadow of mother come in the room, but the shadow look like a big were wolf.

5. Mother wake up Ling, but Ling still sleeping and snoring.

This week, I draw the draft of scene 1 following by the animatic.

After showing it to Ms. Jen, I started to make animations and added more in-between in the process. Below is the video of scene 1:

WEEK 12-16/06/2021

This week, I started work on scene 2. Using the previous animatic as a reference, I also drew the draft before proceeding with the animation.

After approval by Ms. Jen, I started the animation. I like frame by frame painting, so this scene really cost me a lot of energy and time.

This was the hardest part for me, but luckily it was also completed. The following is my finished version of scene 2:

WEEK 13-23/06/2021

As time passed, I started to draw scene 3 because it was too late. The difficult part of this scene is the camera movement, because the ratio between the characters and the background is wrong.

WEEK 14-30/06/2021
Scene 4 and 5 are relatively simple, but it still takes time. The wolf in scene 4 deliberately didn’t do much in-between because I wanted him to look like a step-by-step walk in.

After all the animations are done, I start to put in music and sound effects. According to the guidance of Ms.Jen in consultation, I also added the beginning and end.

WEEK 15-07/07/2021
After presentation, I get the feedback from lec indicate that the sound of snoring sound didn't like a little girl.Before i submit, I edited the sound, below is the final submission:

I am very happy to be able to complete this work. As I said, this is my childhood experience. I am very happy to see it become real one day and share it with everyone. In the process, although it takes a lot of time and energy, this 20 seconds is really worth it. If there is any dissatisfaction, one of them is the transform part. In fact, I am more yearning for the moment when Cinderella is dressed up. But the effect is not so, I hope I can improve this part. There is also camera movement. I have tried several camera movements such as hand-hold camera movement but the effect is not very good. But fortunately, the video became better after changed.
