WEEK 11 (08/06/2021)
Students will given a choice of silent movie video clips. They will then need to create the sound and bring the movie to life. Students will have to plan and organize their studio recording session for Foley and voice recording. They will also have access to the portable recorder if required. Mr. Razif gave student a various of silent movie clip and an audio storyboard. To save time, student have to finish the audio storyboard before to record the sound. After I watched all the videos, I chose my favorite video "One Week" (in fact the others clip I can’t understand).

This week, our classmate who loves Winnie the pooh in class, Avery was invited to explain to the classmates how to uses various instruments in Mix editor. (Clap hand)
Fig 2.1 Tutorial in Mix editorI didn’t expect to create own background music in this project. I really don’t know anything in the field of music. In class, Mr. Razif and Avery have show us some simple way to create some sound effect, but I also try so hard to learn. I only played the short flute when I was in elementary school.

WEEK 13 (22/06/2021)
And this week, I started to record sound and dialog. I looking around my house to get the suitable material. And I steal the steel bowl from my grandma' kitchen, take the metal chain and stick from my father's store room, and drag out my sister wood chair from her room.
Other sound like dragging rope, I record by actual rope and 0.04s in video break out the wall, I use a box to hit the floor. And the ceiling fall, I use my finger rubbing cupboard.

Before dealing with the details of the sound, I also remove the noise of all the sounds with noise reduction/restoration. After I arranged the sound position in PR, I exported the sound to AU for design. Some voices are too loud and exceed the normal level, I will adjust the hard limit. Some sounds use reverb and other effects to distinguish whether it is indoor or outdoor or upstairs and downstairs. Some unsatisfactory sounds, such as the original sound, used the box to be dropped on the ground to make the wall down. I think the bass is too light, so I adjusted the filter and EQ to improve it.

WEEK 14 (29/06/2021)
This week, I received some feedback from Mr. Razif. Mr. Razif indicate that footstep sound is too soft, and also some sound like drag the rope and the lamp sway. And the bucket sound light but bucket in video look heavy. Background music that repeated will make audience get boring. During consultation, Mr.Razif also demonstrated how to use other effects such as Pitch Bender to make the ceiling sagging sound. Therefore, I followed Mr. Razif's instructions and suggestions to modify the sound in my video. The hardest part is the sagging ceiling sound, because I am not very family with the effect, which makes my ears uncomfortable to be blown up all the time. Then, the most unpleasant part is the music. I spent more than two days typing music on the keyboard. The most exciting part is when designing the sound, I can be creative to use various objects, or overlap or reverse the sound to get the effect I want. Below is my final video:
