Independent study week
Due to the Independent Learning week, Dr. Hayati had reminded students to refer to the lecture slides provided or watch the online recorded lecture in the general channel of the LECTURE for this module (Briefing of this assignment on the 4th of October, Lecture slot session).
WEEK 9 - 18/10/2021
This week, I start to create the first draft of visual design. I also come with few cover page design and present to Dr Hayati.

Reflections: Due to personal reasons and a tight time schedule for assignments, my work in progress is slow to reach the target of completion design in visual design.
WEEK 10 - 25/10/2021
This week, I present my cover page design to Dr. Hayati and received a comment on it. After the class, I rethink the design idea and looked for more references on Pinterest.

WEEK 11 - 01/11/2021
This week, I had change the cover design based one Dr Hayati’s feedback. In addition, I also had revised the content table design and content page follow by Dr hayati’s advise. After the consultation slot, I continued work on the remain section that i didn’t complete yet.
I found out that my previous design is too messy when I compared it to the references shown by Dr hayati. Thus, I keep the sign simple and clear when I revise the visual design for final publication.WEEK 12 - 08/11/2021
This week, is the submission of Visual Design for Final Publication. I am glad that I finished before the deadline and Dr. Hayati also very satisfied with this modification. I put it in Flip5html and also submit in to TURNITIN and get the result of 6%:
Students are to design the publication of the dissertation. The concept of the publication must be relevant to the research topic. Since the e-publication format is expected, page layout, publication size, font, font size, are predetermined by the lecturer. Best to keep at A5 size in case the programme requires to print them in hardcopy format for any future audit or MQA accreditation process purpose. Other design consideration are to be made by the student, guided by the lecturer during tutorials.
After submitted the draft dissertation, I start to brainstorming the design idea on visual design. Below is the PDF file of my visual design:

WEEK 8 - 11/10/2021

Finally, I had designed draft of cover design and selected one as book cover. In order not to waste time, I started designed the content table page and content page in Indesign.

Feedback:
- I have to play more with typo hierarchy in design
- I have to keep track the progression in time
General feedback:
- Students were reminded to do design in Indesign
- Be careful for image using in copyright
Reflections:
I review how to use indesign, and because I have learned it before, I am familiar with it soon.
WEEK 11 - 01/11/2021

Feedback:
- I have to keep the design clean and not too messy
- The cover page shouldn't put too much information including copyright there.
- The content table is too many things(design) keep it simple
General feedback:
- Students have to put page number
- Student have to complete the visual design in this week
I found out that my previous design is too messy when I compared it to the references shown by Dr hayati. Thus, I keep the sign simple and clear when I revise the visual design for final publication.
