PROJECT 2 (CHANNEL BUMPER)
WEEK5 - 23/09/2021
Students will synthesize the knowledge gained in task 1 for application in task 2. Students are to demonstrate the ability to explore and generate an abstract channel bumper in any creative approach with consideration of good audio tempo and visually compelling video.
This week, I start to do some brainstorming and research on this project. I have to decide what should I propose. Below is my first draft, is about to intro an existing character created by Hayao Miyazaki named TOTORO:
To meet the deadline, i working on After effect this week and spent almost few day to completed it. Below is the final result::

Mr. Fauzi had given feedback about the character. Why not do the character created by urself? People will get more interest in the character that they haven't seen before. Then, I decide to change the character as well as the storyboard.
WEEK6 - 30/09/2021
I decided to propose the Japan Lantern Yokai (goblin) that not many people know named BURABURA. Below is the proposal:

WEEK7 - 07/10/2021
After approval by Mr. Fauzi, I started work on the progress in Photoshop and After Effect. Firstly, I draw the character based on the composition created by myself.

Then, I combined them and adjust the animation with the BGM. I arranged the element with the slow in-out keyframe that Mr. Fauzi mentioned in the consultation slot. This is the final result:

PROJECT 3 (CHANNEL IDENTITY)
WEEK9 - 21/10/2021
Students will synthesize the knowledge gained in Task 1 and 2 for application in Task 3. Students are to continue with the previously chosen channel in Task 2 to create a channel ident motion graphic video.
Students are to use the information for any proposed channel (*existing or fictional)
• create mood board that reflects their concept/idea
• storyboard
• animatics
• explore appropriate audio to uplift the motion tempo
Students will start with thumbnail sketches and test a wide range of conceptual ideas through digitization using the appropriate software. Students conclude by selecting and presenting their proposed channel bumper interpretation in the instructed format/s.
I have planned the direction to design when I doing project 2, so I get the idea, and below is my proposal:

WEEK10 - 28/10/2021

Reflection:
To sum up, this work took a long time to complete, and I still like it very much. But I think maybe the time and transition can be improved. There is also the growth of bamboo. Although I used the method taught by Teacher Fauzi in the previous project, I still feel that it is not smooth enough. I learned a lot in this project, and also found my own shortcomings. I hope I can make progress in the future.
